I've been a professional writer since 1999. Before that I was head of one of the largest English language (EFL) teacher training centres in the UK. I was also an assessor and examiner for the University of Cambridge/Royal Society of Arts. You could say the English language has featured throughout my working life in some form or other!
We moved to Italy
in June 1994, living first in Umbria and now Tuscany. In late 2001, having
realised the UK has no specialist magazine about Italy I approached a British publisher
with the idea and in January 2002 Italy magazine was launched. I was editor, wrote many articles
for the magazine and had a regular column. The magazine is now one of the best selling
on Italy in the UK with a highly popular and successful website.
I left
the magazine in 2006 and now work as a freelance writer, ghostwriter and internet marketing and naming consultant for a variety of international clients. I
have written countless magazine articles, designed and written content,
press releases and newsletters for websites, am author of over 20
English language books, a non fiction children's book on Italy and am just working on the final draft of a young adult novel for a US client.
I am currently working on the first of a series of nine fantasy novels for an Australian client, a novel for a Zambian businesswoman and will begin a non fiction book for a German client later in the year.
My clients are very important to me and I build up a very good relationship with all of them. I keep in touch constantly throughout a project and deliver a quality product to deadline without breaking the bank.
